The club

About Levante

Levante UD, founded in 1909, are Valencia's other club, the granotas, the frogs, named for the ditch beside their old ground. They are also, by lineage, the oldest club in the city, a point made cheerfully in every derby week.

The club's proudest modern chapter began in 2011, when a squad assembled on free transfers finished sixth and qualified for Europe, then reached the Europa League last sixteen. For a club that had been in administration years earlier, it was footballing alchemy.

Levante's history includes a unique honour: the 1937 Copa de la Espana Libre, won during the civil war and still the subject of a campaign for official recognition. The Ciutat de Valencia is friendly, family-run football with a sting: ask any giant who has dropped points there.

This is a live calendar subscription, not a one-off download. Your calendar app checks the feed on its own schedule, so when the La Liga moves a Levante match for television, or a new round of fixtures is confirmed, the changes appear in your calendar without you doing anything.
