WorldCuply.com & the WorldCuply Match-Day Notifier Chrome extension · Last updated 9 May 2026

Plain-English summary. WorldCuply.com is a static editorial site. The WorldCuply Match-Day Notifier extension stores your settings on your own device and never sends them anywhere. We don't collect personal information, we don't run trackers beyond Google Analytics on the website (no tracking inside the extension), and we don't sell or share data.

1. What this policy covers

This policy applies to:

Both are operated by the same independent publisher. WorldCuply.com is not affiliated with FIFA, the FIFA World Cup, Adidas or any tournament sponsor.

2. The Chrome extension — what it stores and where

The WorldCuply Match-Day Notifier stores the following on your local device, using the browser's chrome.storage.local API:

That's the entire data set. No browsing history, no clicks, no impressions, no email address, no name, no IP address. Nothing is transmitted to WorldCuply.com or any third party — ever — by the extension itself.

3. The single network request the extension makes

Twice a day (and on first install) the extension fetches the public match-schedule JSON file at https://worldcuply.com/data/matches.json. This is a normal HTTPS GET request. The request includes:

Our web server logs the standard web-server access log: timestamp, IP, user-agent, requested path, response code. These logs are kept for up to 30 days for traffic-monitoring purposes and are not linked to any other identifier. The extension does not include your settings, your team selection or any other identifying information in the request.

4. Permissions the extension requests, and why

Chrome lists every permission the extension uses. Here's what each is for:

The extension does not request tabs, activeTab, cookies, history, bookmarks, geolocation, content-script access on third-party sites, or any other privacy-sensitive permission.

5. The website — what we use Google Analytics for

WorldCuply.com runs Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-98GDELQJVS) for aggregate traffic measurement. Google Analytics records standard pageview metrics — page URL, referrer, approximate geographic region, device category, browser. It uses cookies to distinguish unique sessions.

What we do with it: see roughly how many visitors come from where and which articles get read. Nothing more.

You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site at once by installing Google's official Browser Add-on or by enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser. We honour Do Not Track on this site.

6. What we never do

7. Cookies on the website

The website uses cookies set by Google Analytics (the _ga and _ga_* series — first-party cookies set by Google's tag library running on this domain). No other tracking cookies are set. There are no third-party advertising cookies.

8. Your rights

Under GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA, you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal data we hold about you. Because the extension stores nothing on our servers and the website only stores aggregate Google Analytics data, the data we hold "about you" personally is effectively zero.

To clear what the extension has stored locally: right-click the extension icon → Manage extensionSite accessRemove from Chrome. That removes everything in one step.

To clear Google Analytics state on the website: clear cookies for worldcuply.com in your browser settings.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be flagged via a banner on the homepage for at least seven days following the update.
