About Inter Milan

Internazionale were born in 1908 from a split with Milan over the question in their name: the new club would welcome foreign players. The nerazzurri have carried that cosmopolitan identity, and the serpent of the city's crest, ever since.

Helenio Herrera's Grande Inter of the 1960s won consecutive European Cups playing catenaccio elevated to art, and Jose Mourinho's 2010 side completed the first treble in the history of Italian football, a feat still sung about at San Siro. Twenty league titles brought the second star to the shirt in 2024.

Inter are also the only Italian club never to have been relegated. Modern nights under the San Siro lights, including runs to the 2023 and 2025 Champions League finals, have restored the nerazzurri to Europe's top table, with the Derby della Madonnina against Milan the city's twice-yearly civil war.
