About Fiorentina

ACF Fiorentina were founded in 1926, and the viola shirt, purple like nothing else in football, belongs to one of the game's most romantic cities. The Artemio Franchi, with its modernist tower, has been home since 1931.

Two scudetti, in 1956 and 1969, and a place in the first European Cup final anchor the history, but Florence measures its football in idols: Julinho, Antognoni, Roberto Baggio, and above all Gabriel Batistuta, whose goals in the nineties made the Franchi shake.

The club died financially in 2002 and was reborn from Serie C2, an ordeal that only deepened the bond with the city. Back-to-back Conference League finals in 2023 and 2024 showed the viola's European appetite; the hatred of Juventus, dating to a stolen title in 1982, remains undimmed.
